CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is the newest qualification in the aged care industry.
Students may do this course as an entry pathway into the aged care industry. Our CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course is designed to develop multi-skilled workers who are industry ready to enter the broad range of services supporting the growing aging population in residential and community settings.
Our new online blended program offers you flexibility whilst maintaining actual live essential support by industry experts and will prepare you for the requirements needed to succeed in this exciting industry. We are proud of the reputation of delivering quality graduates to the aged care industry.
In addition to the our flexible blended delivery program, you will receive hands on training in our specifically designed manual handling facility ensuring you have the appropriate skills to operate necessary equipment you will be presented with when you commence work in an aged care environment.
A mandatory component of our program is the 160 hours of practical placement, working within an actual aged care environment. Our dedicated Practical Placement Coordinator will secure you a placement and support you through this process.
The course comprises of 13 units (7 Core and 6 Elective). Successful completion of this course requires the fulfillment of all 13 units of competency.

The mandatory workshop location is located close to all public transport amenities allowing for ease of access to students from outer suburbs.

Admission Criteria
Applicants seeking entry into CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course should meet the following criteria.
- Are 18 years old and
- Have successfully completed year 10 of secondary school or equivalent, or be of mature age.
- Be able to use and respond to written language, including some unfamiliar material in a variety of formats.
- Successfully complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN).
- Obtain a satisfactory clear National Police Clearance.
- Primary place of residence must be in Western Australia.
- Must be an Australian Citizen /Permanent Resident / Temporary Visa holder of sub-class 309, 310, 820, 826, 851 / Dependant of sub-class 457 visa.

This qualification is generally identified as the minimal qualification required to work in these areas.
Possible Course Pathways
Once students have completed their qualification at the certificate III level they may decide to continue their studies in the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or candidates may also like to progress to higher level qualifications within the aged care sector and across the community sector.
The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support requires the completion of 18 units, however for those students who have successfully completed the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support with AEATS, they will be automatically granted credits for 10 of these units.
AEATS will also recognise credit transfers upon proof of units completed with other RTOs.
