    The CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is Australia’s leading child care diploma course, for those wishing to develop critical, and more advanced skills in early childhood education and care, , and those wishing to become owners, supervisors, and leaders in child care centres, family day care, and early learning centres. The demand for diploma-trained early childhood staff has risen strongly over the past decade, and the number of higher-level vacancies is expected to continue to increase. According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, there will be around 10,000 child care centre managers required in Australia over the next five years.

    Our CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care course is designed to develop multi-skilled workers who are industry ready to enter the broad range of education and care services supporting the implementation of an approved learning framework, and supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

You will receive hands on training and support ensuring that you have the appropriate knowledge and skills to effectively support the development of children when you commence work in an Early Childhood Education environment.

    A mandatory component of our program is the 170 hours of practical placement, working within an actual Early Childhood environment. Our dedicated Practical Placement Coordinator will secure you a placement and support you through this process.

    The course comprises of 28 units (23 Core and 5 Elective). Successful completion of this course requires the fulfillment of all 28 units of competency.

  • Admission Criteria

    Applicants seeking entry into CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care should meet the following criteria.

    • 18 years old and under will require an additional notice of arrangment
    • Have successfully completed year 10 of secondary school or equivalent, or be of mature age.
    • Be able to use and respond to written language, including some unfamiliar material in a variety of formats.
    • Successfully complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN).
    • Obtain a satisfactory clear National Police Clearance.
    • Obtain a Working With Children Check
    • Primary place of residence must be in Western Australia.
    • Must be an Australian Citizen /Permanent Resident / Temporary Visa holder of sub-class 309, 310, 820, 826, 851 / Dependant of sub-class 457 visa.

    The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is an appropriate qualification for people seeking work in Early Childhood Education and Care industry. With an increase in parents needing to return to work there is a high demand for educators in the education and care sector. This qualification is generally identified as the minimal qualification required to work in this exciting and rewarding career.

    Possible Course Pathways

    Once students have completed their qualification at the certificate III level they may decide to continue their studies in the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Candidates may also like to progress to higher level qualifications within the Education and care sector and across the broader community sector.

    The CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care requires the completion of 28 units, however for those students who have successfully completed the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with AEATS, they will be automatically granted credits for 13 of these units.

    AEATS will also recognise credit transfers upon proof of units completed with other RTOs.

    Western Australia course fees 2020:
    Standard Fee $1,247.40 or twenty (20) fortnightly payments of $62.37
    Concession $369.60 or

    twenty (20) fortnightly payments of $18.48

    Students Aged between 16 and 24 years $369.60 or twenty (20) fortnightly payments of $18.48

    Fee For Service $4,800.00 or twenty (20) fortnightly payments of $240.00

    Interest Free flexible payment plan options are available to suit the convenience of students.

    The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student service and resource fees.

    NOTE: Fees are calculated inline with the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development Fees and Charges Policy 2020.
