The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is the newest qualification in the disabilities industry.
Students may do this course as an entry pathway into the disabilities industry. Our CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course is designed to develop multi-skilled workers who are industry ready to enter the broad range of services supporting the growing demand for disability support workers across a range of settings.

In addition to the our classroom delivery, you will receive hands on training in our specifically designed manual handling facility ensuring you have the appropriate skills to operate necessary equipment you may be presented with when you commence work in the disability industry.
A mandatory component of our program is the 160 hours of practical placement, working within an actual disability focused environment. Our dedicated Practical Placement Coordinator will secure you a placement and support you through this process.
The course comprises of 13 units (7 Core and 6 Elective). Successful completion of this course requires the fulfillment of all 13 units of competency.

Days per week – Mandatory live class participation via ZOOM.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays
*Throughout the 12 weeks there will be 2 x two week blocks where only participation via ZOOM on Tuesdays will be required.
Physical classroom attendance
Classroom attendance will be scheduled infrequently for the purposes of Physical assessment. Dates will be available upon enrolment.

Classroom Delivery Location
ZOOM Delivery
Students are required to participate in live classroom programs via ZOOM. This delivery links into traditional classroom programs where you can ask questions and receive feedback in real time as if you were sitting in the class.
This is a really easy way to study without having to physically attend the classroom. You must however fully participate in each session.
Physical Attendance
Through out the program, students will be required to physically attend our classroom to undertake assessments which cannot be undertaken via ZOOM. These dates and locations will be determined once students have enrolled into the program.
Admission Criteria
Applicants seeking entry into CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course should meet the following criteria.
- Are 18 years old and
- Have successfully completed year 10 of secondary school or equivalent, or be of mature age.
- Be able to use and respond to written language, including some unfamiliar material in a variety of formats.
- Successfully complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN).
- Obtain a satisfactory clear National Police Clearance.
- Primary place of residence must be in Western Australia.
- Must be an Australian Citizen /Permanent Resident / Temporary Visa holder of sub-class 309, 444, 820, 826, or Dependant of sub-class 457 visa/Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790)/Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785)/Bridging Visa E holders (subclass 050 and 051) where a valid application for visa of subclass 785 or 790 has been made.

Possible Course Pathways
Once students have completed their qualification at the certificate III level they may decide to continue their studies in the CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability or candidates may also like to progress to higher level qualifications within the aged care sector and across the community sector.
The CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability requires the completion of 18 units, however for those students who have successfully completed the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support with AEATS, they may be automatically granted credits for 10 of these units.
AEATS will also recognise credit transfers upon proof of units completed with other RTOs.

This Course is Fee Free in 2023 to all eligible students.
